1. Sweepstakes Scam Warning

This is a legitimate sweepstakes administered by Reformation Heritage Books (“Sponsor”). Protect yourself from scams:

Winners will only be contacted via the email address provided upon entry and only from the domain “@rhb.org.”
We will never ask for payment, bank, or credit card information to claim a prize.
The potential winner must complete a U.S. tax form (W-9) and may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release.
If you suspect a scam, contact orders@rhb.org.

2. No Purchase Necessary

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited.

3. Eligibility

Open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of Reformation Heritage Books, and their immediate family or household members, are not eligible.

4. Sweepstakes Period

The giveaway entry period begins upon publication of the promotion page on October 20, 2025. Email and essay entries may be submitted immediately. Purchase-based bonus entries are valid only for orders placed between 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on October 27, 2025 and 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on October 31, 2025.

5. How to Enter

There are several ways to enter. All entries are treated equally in the random drawing.

A. Email Sign-Up (1 Entry)

Visit heritagebooks.org/calvin-giveaway and submit your name and valid email address to receive one (1) entry. You will be added to RHB’s email list. Unsubscribe any time.

B. SMS Sign-Up (+5 Entries)

After signing up by email, you may opt in for RHB text messages to receive five (5) additional entries. Msg/data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent not required to purchase.

C. Essay (+25 Entries)

Submit a 100–300 word essay on why this book matters to you using the online form at this link. Each valid essay earns twenty-five (25) entries. Limit one essay per person. Essays will not be judged.

D. Purchase Bonus Entries (+5 to +50 per order)

Orders placed between October 27 and October 31, 2025 earn bonus entries based on subtotal before tax and shipping:

$1–$49 = 5 entries
$50–$99 = 10 entries
$100–$199 = 25 entries
$200+ = 50 entries

Limit 100 total purchase-based bonus entries per person. Refunded or canceled orders are ineligible.

E. Mail-In Entry (No Purchase Necessary)

To enter without purchase, hand-print your name, mailing address, email, and phone on a postcard and mail to:

The first valid postcard counts as one entry plus five bonus entries (equivalent to email + SMS). Include “Essay AMOE” on an additional postcard to receive 25 entries in lieu of an essay. Include “Purchase AMOE” on an additional postcard to receive 100 entries in lieu of purchase. Limit 131 total entries per person. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by October 31, 2025 and received by November 5, 2025.

6. Drawing and Odds

One (1) potential winner will be selected at random on or about November 14, 2025. Odds depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Prize

One (1) collectible 1599 London edition of The Institution of Christian Religion by John Calvin, translated by Thomas Norton. Estimated market value: $3,000. Prize is awarded “as is,” non-transferable, without warranty, and subject to verification.

8. Winner Notification

Potential winner will be notified by email and must respond within three (3) business days with required documentation. Failure to comply will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate.

9. Publicity and Privacy

Except where prohibited, winner consents to use of first name, last initial, city, and state for promotional purposes. Data is handled per the RHB Privacy Policy.

10. Release and Limitation of Liability

By participating, entrants release and hold harmless Sponsor, affiliates, and their agents from any liability arising from participation or prize use. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, delayed, or misdirected entries or technical errors.

11. Governing Law

This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of Michigan, USA. Entrants consent to exclusive jurisdiction in Michigan state and federal courts.

12. Winner Confirmation

To obtain the winner’s name, send a written request or stamped envelope to Sponsor by December 31, 2025, or email orders@rhb.org.
