Description
Samuel E. Waldron focuses on the unity of the Protestant traditions by examining the works of Martin Luther, John Calvin, and the Protestant creeds and confessions. He then reviews the writings of three prominent evangelical scholars (Daniel Fuller, Norman Shepherd, and Don Garlington) and concludes that they have strayed from the historic Protestant formulation of justification by faith alone. This is a welcome contribution on contemporary debates on the obedience of faith in relation to the doctrine of justification.
