Spurgeon's Own Hymn Book

“A window into the pastoral theology of congregational singing and hymnody that Spurgeon held dear”
–Matt Boswell, Hymn Writer and Pastor

Charles Haddon Spurgeon was passionate about congregational worship.

Arising from devout pastoral concern, the frustration he found while using the compilations of hymns available in his day, spurred him to compile this selection of hymns for use in his own congregation.

Spurgeon begins with the Psalms and moves through a selection of hymns addressing all aspects of the faith and life of believers. Divided thematically, this comprehensive collection was designed to enable the saints to edify one another in their singing.

Highlighting timeless truth, this edition is just as valuable for the worshippers of today.

Included in this beautiful gift edition:

• Spurgeon’s own Preface
• Over 1,000 psalms, hymns and spiritual songs
