Christian Biographies for Young Readers
I initially bought this series because I was looking for a Martin Luther biography for our 10yr old. I found one and thought why not buy the whole series while I’m at it. It’s been the best money spent yet. I was going to read them aloud to our 10yr old and 6yr old, but as it turns out, our 10yr old loves history and took off with a couple of them and he was amazed. I still read the aloud to him and his younger sibling. But let’s get to the meat of this review. I have not been a history fan. But recently have discovered while homeschooling our kids not only the importance, but the fun of history. I bought these as a church history “class” for the kids, but the treasure of information in these books has been good not only for the kids but also for me. They are well researched and the timeline at the end of each book is an amazing addition that I was surprised by. Short enough to read in one sitting or two. Very helpful in understanding some of the early leaders in the church starting from the time of the Apostles. Worthwhile purchase. I call it a church history class.
