How Prayer Impacts Lives: 41 Christians and their Conversations with God (Mackenzie)
People are remarkably different but intriguingly the same.
For every believer there is the one true God to whom they pray, but then every believer has a different story to tell you about how prayer has impacted their life.
Over forty different people from various stages and walks of life summarise what prayer means to them, how it has been their life strength and a direct communication to their Creator, Lord and Savior.
The Theologian and the young mother. The entrepreneur and the charity worker. The doctor and the artist. The ex-Muslim and the southern belle.
We know how different they are but we also see their similarities...their search for truth, their need for Divine love, their longing to be intimate with God in prayer.
Through these testimonies we see how prayer is work but it's also relationship; how it's not about a legalistic act that will make God love us more than he already does...it's about coming alongside God, our Heavenly Father, as his child - ready to love, to say sorry, to praise God for what he has done to simply ask.

"Whether I am having 'a great day', whatever that means, or a 'bad hair' one and feeling about as spiritual as a plate of spam sandwiches, I need to remind myself that because of Jesus I may always come to my Father, inspired and energized by the Holy Spirit." - Steve Brady ~ Principal, Moorlands College
"Yes, He does meet needs and answer our petitions; and prayer is the tool for responding to that provision with a heart of gratitude." - Dorothy K. Patterson ~ Professor of Theology in Women’s Studies, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Forth Worth, Texas
"One day I will die - until then I will live on this earth thankful to God that I am living proof that prayer does indeed impact lives." - David Robertson ~ Pastor of St Peter's Free Church of Scotland, Dundee
