Journables
My wife received the Romans Journable about 10 years ago as a gift, but never used it for her Study in Romans with her sister. I asked to use it and have worked through 25 of the 27 New Testament books and several of the Old Testament as well. Scribing out the text has made me spend time contemplating what God has said, instead of my mind wandering while just reading scripture due to growing up in the church. Also copying phrase for phrase instead of word for word has helped my growth more than reading the text ever did. I spend more time checking the definitions of words like "glory" --that has always been fussy in my mind-- and having the space on the left page to write my thoughts and notes has been helpful when going back through passages later. I can't recommend the use of scribing out scripture enough. If God had Moses lay out what was going to be necessary for the kings of Israel to become wise in their conduct, maybe is would be a wise course of action for us too. Nothing has helped my growth quite as much as scribing and having it laid out so nicely with these journals. They are truly a God sent. Thank you guys for making this available. (I do wish the entire Old Testament was also available... hint, hint!!! ;-)
