Taming The Fingers, Jeff Johnson
Electricity is an amazing thing. Few of us in this generation could get along without it. It heats our homes, lights our lights, pumps our water, cooks, MI our food - it is a convenient part of much of our lives. But it is also destructive. It has turned giant oaks into a pile of splinters, burned our homes and our dinners, and it was the cause of death of a man in my very first ministry. What distinguishes one from the other? Control.
That is the theme of the first chapter in a small book written by Jeff Johnson, one of the Pastors of Grace Immanuel Reformed Baptist Church, Grand Rapids, MI., on the proper, Biblical use of social media. It is
sub-titled, "Heavenly Wisdom for Social Media". The other four chapters deal with the questions, am I Calm, Careful, Compassionate, and Conscientious?. It is proverbial, practical, and powerful, yet can be read in less than three hours.
TAMING THE FINGERS is available from REFORMATION HERITAGE BOOKS, Grand Rapids, Michigan. I highly recommend it.
