Description

A Sanctified Remembrance: With warmth, humour and poignancy, Christine Farenhorst invites readers to step into the love story she shared with her late husband.

Faith and loss mingle in this heartfelt memoir, filled with snapshots of a happy marriage and family life, interspersed with biblical reflections on the character and goodness of God, even amidst grief.

Christine Farenhorst’s skill with the pen shines through as she reflects on the almost fifty–three years she shared with Anco, from their first meeting to his final moments. Her grief is evident, but so is her hope in Christ and her knowledge that true life is found in Him. With humorous moments, these warm–hearted reflections will be a balm to anyone suffering through grief.

  • Vignettes of a happy marriage
  • Reflections on the character of God
  • Heartwarming

Endorsements

… a book full of the ups–and–downs of mourning and will be a great blessing for mourners, but it is also a book of depth that will plunge you into self–examination and drive you to Christ.
—Joel R. Beeke, Chancellor, Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids, Michigan

This is the most readable book I have held in my hands for many years. It is a page turner, a book without cliches, full of pathos as well as humor – I chuckled aloud often as I read some of it, and also had a lump in my throat as I read other parts, quite un–put–down–able.
—Geoff Thomas, Conference Speaker and author, Aberystwyth, Wales
